Requirements for Political Advertisers
To ensure compliance with transparency guidelines, all political advertisers or candidates must register with Agility before launching any political ad campaigns.
To register a new political advertiser, contact our support team via Agility Chat and provide the following details:
Candidate or Entity Name
Paying Entity Name
Paying Entity Address
Federal Election Commission ID or EIN ID
Name of Executive of the Paying Entity
Title of Executive
Once registration is complete, the advertiser will be eligible to run political ads on the Agility platform.
Micro-targeting Restrictions for Political Ads
Agility has strict rules against micro-targeting for political ads to promote fair reach and avoid undue influence on small, highly specific audience groups. To prevent ads from being flagged for micro-targeting, political advertisers should ensure that the final audience size for each ad group is large enough to avoid excessively narrow targeting.
Guideline for Audience Size: The final target audience, after all refinements and targeting qualifiers have been applied, should include more than 10,000 device IDs per ad group. Advertisers are responsible for adjusting their targeting settings to meet this requirement.
Disclosure Requirements for Political Ads
All political ads on Agility must clearly identify the party responsible for funding the ad. Advertisers are responsible for including this “Paid for by” disclosure in all ad formats (e.g., display, video, audio) and ensuring it meets all legal requirements.
“Paid for by” Disclosure: Each ad should include a statement such as “Paid for by the XYZ PAC, www.XYZ.org” to clearly identify the funding source.
Content Restrictions for Political Ads
Agility reserves the right to review and reject any political ads that do not meet our standards for safe and fair communication. Political ads are prohibited from:
Voter Suppression Content: Ads aimed at discouraging voter participation, misleading voters about voting processes, or deterring any group from voting will be rejected.
Violent Content: Ads that incite, threaten, advocate, or call for acts of violence, or promote harm against individuals or groups, are strictly prohibited.
These restrictions are in place to ensure that political ads on Agility uphold the highest standards of integrity and contribute positively to public discourse.
