How To Create a Conversion Zone

Conversion zones track foot traffic attribution by using the geofencing map.

Updated over 2 months ago

A conversion zone helps you see when someone collected in a target zone later visits a real-world location you care about (like a store, venue, or event). The target zone collects devices. The conversion zone tracks where those devices go next.

To keep results accurate, conversion zones only work for ad groups that are targeting devices collected from a target zone. If the ad group includes devices from other sources, conversion zone tracking will be turned off.

Under the Tracking section of the account, select the Conversion Zones option.

Next, you may begin drawing a Conversion Zone on the map by pressing the Draw button on the geofence map.

After drawing the Conversion Zone, name your location and click Save to complete the zone.

After saving, you fence will be listed on the right-hand side of the map where you can view and delete zones by clicking on the 3 dots on the far right-hand side.

Applying a Conversion Zone to an Ad Group

Please note that conversion zones can only be applied to personas containing geofenced audiences. When adding a persona to your ad group, you will have the option to apply a conversion zone to track foot traffic conversions.

To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Select the Conversion Zone option.

  2. Check the conversion zone you wish to apply.

  3. Click Save Changes.
