Website Audience

How to create a website audience in Agility to retarget visitors with relevant ads based on their interactions with your site.

Updated over 4 months ago

Prerequisite:

Before creating a website audience, ensure that your universal tag is installed on your website. If you haven’t set it up yet, refer to our Universal Tag Setup Guide and the tutorial on how to install the tag using Google Tag Manager.

Once the universal tag is installed and firing, you can start building your audience based on website visitors.

Steps to Create a Website Audience:

1. Navigate to the Audiences Section

  • Log in to your account and locate the Audience section on the left-hand side of your screen.

2. Create a New Audience

  • Click on "+ Audience" at the top of the screen.

  • Select Website as your targeting type.

  • Enter a descriptive name for your audience and, if desired, add a description.

  • Click Create to proceed.

3. Set Up Audience Parameters

  • After your audience is created, click on "+ Parameter" to add a parameter.

  • Choose the universal pixel you wish to use for retargeting.

  • Select the event you’d like to target. If you’ve set up specific events, choose the relevant one. If not, select the default All Traffic event to retarget all website visitors.

  • Add any additional parameters you want to target, such as different tags or specific events, to further define your audience.

  • Click Save when you’re done.

4. Activate and Start Targeting

  • Your website audience is now active and ready for use.

  • You can add this audience to any ad group within your campaigns to start retargeting your website visitors effectively.

By following these steps, you’ll be able to set up and leverage a website audience to target visitors with ads tailored to their interactions on your site. If you have any questions during setup, feel free to reach out to our support team through Agility Chat for assistance.
