Campaign Credits

How unused campaign budgets are credited and applied

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Campaign credits are account-level adjustments that represent unused campaign budgets. In most cases, credits are created when a campaign fails to spend its full budget. Rather than issuing refunds, our platform stores the unused balance as a credit on your account. These credits can then be applied to any future campaign flight of your choice.

Why Campaign Credits Occur

Our platform is designed to spend precisely toward your campaign goals. If your campaign does not use its full budget, this usually signals that something in the campaign setup is preventing it from delivering as expected. Common reasons include:

  • Targeting that is too narrow to reach enough users

  • Bid strategies that are set too low to win available inventory

  • Frequency caps that limit exposure too tightly

If a campaign fails to spend, contact our support team immediately through Agility Chat. Our team can review your campaign settings, identify why delivery fell short, and apply the unused budget as a credit to a new campaign flight. For more background on how campaign budgets are billed, see Campaign Billing.

How Credits are Used

Credits are stored at the account level and may be applied to any campaign flight you select. They are not tied to the original campaign that created them. When you are ready to use a credit, reach out through Agility Chat and let our team know which campaign flight you would like it applied to.

  • Credits may be applied to any campaign under your account

  • Refunds are not issued for unused budgets. All balances remain stored as credits until they are used or expire

  • Once applied, credits reduce the amount billed for your campaign, and this adjustment will appear on your billing receipt

Keep the full budget you intend for your campaign in the platform. Our team will handle the credit application on the billing side. If you are updating your payment source for a new campaign flight, review Updating Payment Methods.

Example Scenario

Suppose you launched a campaign with a $500 budget. Due to targeting that was too restrictive, only $300 of the budget was spent during the campaign flight. The remaining $200 is stored as a credit on your account. You can then contact our support team to apply that $200 toward the budget of a future campaign. On the billing side, the $200 credit will be deducted from the payment, which you will see reflected on your receipt.

Credit Expiration

Campaign credits remain available for one year from the date they are issued. During this time, you can work with our support team to apply them to any campaign flight. After the one-year period, credits will expire and cannot be reinstated.

To avoid losing value, we recommend:

  • Reviewing your campaigns soon after they end to confirm whether credits were created

  • Reaching out to our team early if you would like credits applied to upcoming campaigns

  • Planning your media schedule so credits are used well before they expire

Checking your Credit Balance

Credit balances are not displayed in your account. If you would like to know your current credit amount or confirm how a credit was applied, please contact our support team through Agility Chat. You will see the deduction reflected on your billing receipts after a credit is used.
